Inside Barron Trump’s Alleged Ties to an Online Anti-Women Community

President Donald Trump’s youngest son is reportedly a supporter of a controversial influencer known for misogynistic views and facing serious criminal accusations.

According to The New York Times, 19-year-old Barron Trump expressed admiration for Andrew Tate, 39, a divisive figure in the manosphere who has been charged with rape and human trafficking. Justin Waller — a close associate of Andrew and Tristan Tate who refers to himself as their “third brother” — told the outlet that he also serves as a “big brother” figure to Barron.

Waller said Barron spoke with Andrew Tate over Zoom last year while being fitted for a suit by Waller’s tailor. During the call, they reportedly discussed their shared view that Romanian prosecutors’ charges against the Tate brothers were an attempt to silence them.

Romanian authorities have accused the Tate brothers of trafficking more than 30 women and running a criminal organization for sexual exploitation. Andrew Tate also faces a separate rape charge. In addition, both brothers are confronting rape and trafficking charges in the U.K. They have denied all allegations.

Waller emphasized that Barron did not express any intention to assist the Tates with their legal troubles. He said their conversations also touched on promoting Donald Trump’s campaign across their online platforms.

After Trump returned to Washington, several Tate supporters were reportedly given roles within the new administration. According to The Times, one of them — Ric Grenell — spoke with Romanian officials about the Tate case on two occasions. Not long afterward, the brothers were released from a travel ban.

Grenell — whom Trump appointed interim president of the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. — has previously downplayed his interactions with a Romanian official, describing them as nothing more than a brief hallway encounter and insisting that “no substantive conversation” took place. He also told The Times, “I have never met the Tate Brothers, I’ve never been to Romania.” Grenell did not address reporting that he met with an adviser to the Romanian prime minister at Mar-a-Lago last December.

The Daily Beast has contacted the White House and the Tates’ attorney, Joseph McBride, for comment. McBride told The Times that its reporting about Andrew Tate’s connection to Barron Trump was “fake news.” Barron, meanwhile, has been credited with helping his father, 79, appeal to young male voters, even as his mother, First Lady Melania Trump, has pushed for online safety and protections for women against the nonconsensual distribution of sexual images through her Be Best campaign. Barron also reportedly encouraged his father to engage with “manosphere” influencers and podcasters, including Joe Rogan.

Following an assassination attempt on Trump in the summer of 2024, Tate told reporters that he had spoken with Barron about the incident. “I’m very close with the Trump family. I know them well,” he said. “I look forward to, once I am free, being with Donald Trump in person and reminding him that he’s a bulletproof badass.”

Tate, a former professional kickboxer born in the U.S. and raised in the U.K., previously ran an adult webcam operation with his brother Tristan. Andrew has openly described luring women into the business by promising romantic relationships, then taking the majority of the profits they generated.

The brothers also sold online courses through “Hustler’s University,” a now-defunct platform that helped cement Andrew’s status in the “manosphere,” where he became notorious for extreme misogynistic content. In one infamous clip, he advised followers on responding to accusations of cheating by saying: “It’s bang out the machete, boom in her face, you grip her up by the neck, ‘WHAT’S UP B--H’... you go f--k her.”

Andrew was previously banned from Twitter for suggesting that women should “bear responsibility” for being sexually assaulted. Beyond the charges in Eastern Europe, he has faced allegations in the U.K. that he raped and strangled two women more than a decade ago. One accuser said Tate later texted her, “I love raping you,” and asked, “Are you seriously so offended I strangled you a little bit?” In the same case, a third woman alleged that Tristan raped her. Both brothers deny all accusations.

Despite the mounting legal troubles, the Tate brothers have remained outspoken supporters of Donald Trump. Andrew said earlier this year that the former president is “saving America along with the entire western world.” Their support has echoed throughout right-wing circles in the U.S., where figures such as Matt Gaetz — who has himself faced allegations of sexual misconduct — have praised them. Even Elon Musk appeared to suggest that Andrew Tate running for prime minister would benefit Britain, despite showing little understanding of the country’s legal and political system.
